Overall Outlook

The total production of passenger vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers, and quadricycles in May 2025 stood at 25,82,207 units.

Looking ahead, the industry is optimistic about improved sales in the coming months. Commenting on this, Menon noted, “Going forward, the RBI’s three repo rate cuts—totaling 100 basis points over the past six months—along with a forecast of above-normal monsoons, are indicators that should positively impact the auto sector by improving affordability and boosting consumer sentiment.”
