on Monday launched the
2025 Suzuki GSX-8Rat ₹9.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which now complies with the OBD-2B regulations.
The 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R is available in three colors: Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Matte Sword Silver, and Metallic Matte Black No.2. It will be available for purchase across Suzuki’s big bike dealerships in India.
‘The OBD-2B update on the GSX-8R enhances its performance with improved emission monitoring, keeping it aligned with the latest regulatory requirements,’ said Deepak Mutreja, vice president (sales & marketing), Suzuki Motorcycle India.
The GSX-8R has a 776cc parallel twin DOHC engine with a 270-degree crankshaft and a balancer shaft to reduce vibrations. The engine is paired with a six-speed transmission and the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS).
The motorcycle comes equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) suite of rider aids, comprising Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS), ride-by-wire electronic throttle, bi-directional quick shifter, low RPM Assist, and Suzuki Easy Start system.
The GSX-8R comes with forged aluminium handlebars, an aerodynamic windscreen, and stacked hexagonal LED headlights. It rides on the SHOWA SFF-BP inverted front forks and a SHOWA link-type mono-shock rear with preload adjuster.
Braking duties are managed by dual four-piston radial-mount front calipers paired with 310 mm dual discs, while lightweight cast aluminium wheels with Dunlop RoadSport 2 radial tyres.
