Hyundai India launches vehicle digital passport for connected cars

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has launched the vehicle digital passport, a new connected car technology that uses data analytics to provide a digital identity for Bluelink-enabled Hyundai vehicles.

It offers customers a one-point access to their vehicle’s performance and health.

Available at an introductory price of ₹399 per quarter, the digital passport offers data-backed transparency, personalised recommendations, and a holistic ownership experience.

Jae Wan Ryu, Function Head - Corporate Planning, HMIL, said “HMIL becomes the first Hyundai Motor Group entity worldwide, to launch this service. This transformative service generates a holistic digital vehicle scorecard, and we are hopeful that vehicle analytics generated by this will encourage customers to drive responsibly and follow maintenance schedules proactively leading to safer mobility.”

The solution provides insights into various aspects of the vehicle--customers can get periodic service history, accidental history, malfunction indicators, warranty details, and driving details.

Since the introduction of Hyundai Bluelink in 2019, the company has sold over 700,000 connected cars in the country.
