The center is intended to serve as a hub for software engineering and innovation in propulsion software, vehicle network development, and related areas, with a focus on supporting European automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Commenting on the inauguration, KPIT CTO Anup Sable said, “Mobility leaders around the world are navigating complex transformations — dynamic trade environments, needing to innovate at speed and scale while substantially saving costs. Our new center in Tunisia will be developed as a center of excellence to drive innovation in propulsion software, vehicle network development, validation, and further expand in other domains.”

The facility is strategically located to take advantage of Tunisia’s skilled software engineering talent and timezone benefits, enabling greater agility and scale for European OEMs. The center is also expected to provide more opportunities for the 500-plus KPIT employees already based in Tunisia.

Reaffirming Tunisia’s position as an innovation hub, Tunisia Investment Authority President Namia Ayadi remarked, “The establishment of KPIT in Tunisia is a strong testament to this momentum and further strengthens our appeal as a prime destination for cutting-edge technology investments.”

The new center in Tunisia is expected to bolster KPIT’s nearshore engineering capabilities and support the company’s expanding global footprint. The opening event was attended by senior representatives from Tunisia’s automotive ecosystem, investment authorities, universities, and KPIT leadership.

Recently, KPIT technologies, in its global expansion spree, also opened its technological center in Sweden, which will help it collaborate with Swedish and European OEMs and tap into local talent.
