appointed
Arun Srinivasas the MD and head for
India, effective from July 1. The announcement came shortly after
Sandhya Devanathan, vice-president for India and
South-East Asia, took on expanded responsibilities covering both regions.
Srinivas will oversee Meta's business, innovation, and revenue functions in India, with a mandate to strengthen relationships with advertisers, brands, developers, and partners in the country. He will continue to report to Devanathan, the company said in a statement on Monday.
Meta described India as a key growth market, highlighting opportunities in areas such as artificial intelligence, messaging, and its short-form video product Reels. "As India continues to be at the forefront of economic growth and innovation, we are excited to have Arun at the helm of our efforts in this critical market," Devanathan said.
