Uno Minda Limited, a global Tier-1 supplier of
automotive systems, has announced the approval for a new
two-wheeler alloy wheel manufacturingplant in Bawal, Haryana. It entails an investment of ₹200 crore through debt and internal funds.
The Bawal facility, slated to begin operations by the second quarter of FY27, will add 1.5 million alloy wheels annually.
In addition to the new facility, Uno Minda has also started commercial production on an expansion project at its Supa, Maharashtra location. This expansion will add 2.0 million alloy wheels to the existing capacity. The Supa expansion was initially announced in May 2024.
Upon completion of the Bawal facility, Uno Minda’s total installed capacity for two-wheeler alloy wheels is expected to reach approximately 9.5 million wheels per year.
